Wildlife Population Health is a discipline-related specialty. Whilst many of the objectives of the specialty are shared with the taxon-related specialties, it must be recognised that there is minimal emphasis on clinical medicine and the objectives are modified to reflect this difference. Specialists in Wildlife Population Health are based in academic and research institutions, as well as non-governmental organisations, industry, specialist practice or within government departments.
